About Clearview Dachsies.

Hello.  My name is Pam Van Weelden and my husband & I started Clearview Dachsies this past year.  We have been breeding dachshunds in our home for 8 years, but decided to be "serious" last year.  This will be the first year that we are able to have more than two litters and have AKC champion line puppies.  We are very excited about this.  We have worked very hard in finding good, quality dachsies to start our endeavor.  We look forward to providing wonderful, loving family members for years to come. 

We also enjoy camping and horseback riding with yearly trips to Emminence Missouri for a week long trail ride.  We have been in the general contracting business now for almost 14 years and have established a well respected business in our community.  We have three children, two which are now grown.  I do all the choreography for our church's musicals at Easter and Christmas.  This has given me the opportunity to teach and work with youth.  I have learned a lot over the past 11 years working with them.  They have a lot to offer!

I bought my first dachshund 22 years ago in a pet shop.  She was sitting in her food bowl shaking.  I found the perfect loyal friend.  They are small in stature but very big in devotion and love.  Dachshunds ARE the perfect pet to own.

Did you know.... Little boy puppies make wonderful house pets. Male puppies have got a reputation for being "markers" (lifting their legs to potty on things). While this is true with an un-neutered adult male it is not true about male puppies. Male puppies will not lift their leg to mark until after they have gone through puberty. A male puppy can be neutered before puberty . A nuetered puppy will continue to squat down to potty and will not "mark" territory, even as an adult. Most Veterinarians suggest neutering by the age of 6 months, before puberty. So keep in mind that it's true! Neutered males do make great house pets!
