On Boarding Your Puppy

Sometimes there are circumstances that prevent families from getting their new puppy when they are ready. We are willing to help out for a LIMITED amount of time and this must be agreed upon in ADVANCE.

If we agree to board your puppy for you, we have to charge a boarding fee. Please understand, this isn't out to squeeze more money out of the new family, but because of the work and effort Brent & I go to for our puppies, the fact that they are on a vaccination schedule and they still continue to eat, means they still incurr expense for us.

In an effort to keep our prices within reason, we ask that you are prepared for them when they are ready for you! We would actually prefer our babies to go to their new homes when they are ready, because there is a critical bonding time between the ages of 9-12 weeks.

All fees (including shipping and boarding) must be paid for before the puppy will given to their new family.

Note....military personal that are on active duty do not need to be concerned with a boarding fee.....Your SERVICE to us is payment enough! (We have been fortunate enough to have a case such as this)

All of our puppies are started on their vaccinations (Distemper/Parvo 5-way) and wormed regularly (Pyrantel or Drontal Plus) until they are placed in their new homes.

PRICES:
Most of our pups are sold with Limited AKC Registration as Pets/Companions. We also occasionally offer pups with full registration as show/breeding prospects, if interested, contact us about availability. Clearview Dachsies requires a non-refundable minimum $200.00 deposit to hold choice puppy until the arranged time of pick-up or shipment and the balance due before the pup goes to his/her new home. We accept credit cards through PayPal.

GUARANTEE:
We provide a written health guarantee and purchase contract which includes a lifetime guarantee against genetic issues that would impair their ability to live their full life expectancy. A healthy, well cared for Dachshund can live between 14-17 years of age. We give you a wealth of information, including veterinarian care, food information, flea and tick choices, to help you provide the most informed choices for your new family member.

Our pups are guaranteed for one week for any health problems originating from our kennel, and one year for any life threatening hereditary or genetic problems. If a health problem should arise, you may return the pup with a statement from a qualified veterinarian for a full refund, or a replacement pup when one becomes available, the choice is yours. For any genetic problems, a replacement puppy of equal or greater value will be given as soon as available.

All of our pups are home raised, are AKC registered with champion bloodlines. They are well socialized and cared for, and up to date on shots and worming.

In addition, we offer a lifetime return policy on any dachshund we sell. If you are unable to keep your Dachsies for any reason, at any time, you may return it to us, and we will either try to place the dog again or it will stay with us. We want our dachsies to always be cared for and loved.

Most of our puppies to go pet homes, but occasionally we will offer full registration or breeding rights. These puppies will have gone through a complete check up from our veterinarian to make sure they are up to our standards for continuing our lines. We have worked very hard to acquire good lines and want to insure that they stay up to our standards.

SHIPPING:
We offer shipping within the US and Canada from the Des Moines International airport. The cost to ship is $250-350 (depending which carrier) which includes crate, health certificate, travel to airport and airfare.

Puppies can be shipped and the shipping fee is always pre-paid. If you are living close to Oskaloosa within a 300 mile radius, we will gladly meet you half way for a small gas fee of $30. The shipping price includes the airfare, certificate from our vet and the kennel.

Please note that we ship our puppies at a minimum of 10 weeks of age. Puppies that are being picked up or we are meeting can be placed in their new homes at 8 weeks of age.

All fees must be paid in full either with cash, certified check or PayPal by the time of pick up or shipment. We will only accept a personal check for deposits on puppies. We do have a PayPal account if you prefer to use it and are able to process credit cards on there, but please add a 3.5% PayPal fee. Please add 3.5% on to total before submitting.
